Araw ng Dabaw 2011: Part 1
Davao City, Philippines once again celebrating its 74th Araw ng Dabaw. March 16, 2011 was the founding anniversary of Davao City as a city. Together with its vibrant, colorful and beautiful feast celebration lies the true sense of its cultural values.
March 16, 2011 was marked as an official non-working local holiday here in Davao City but sadly, i was in the office doing works. But the spirit of the festival was overflowing within the whole city. Even inside the office, i could still hear the noises of the parades....hehehe.. and my co-worker was assigned in taking pictures, lucky for her.
On that day, the weather was not so friendly, but good enough that it didn't rained that much. Even so, it couldn't prevent the people from celebrating this once in a year occasion.

Natural Beauty of Talicud Island, Samal, Philippines
Philippines is best known country for its natural resources and beautiful beaches... But, what you don't know is it's still hiding many beautiful places that is yet to be known and famous... Samal Island, Philippines is known here in Mindanao, specifically in Davao City because of its natural beach beauties, white sands and clear seas.
Below are the pictures i have taken during our trip in Samal.Watch the ocean view from the top...
The white sand of Kaputian Beach, Samal.
When going to Talicud, you can ride a "Lantsa", term for motorized boat (i don't know its name in English...lol), or you can bring ur own car and ride on a barge... But the barge's routing is only from Babak, Samal going to City Proper and vice versa so you still need to ride a Lantsa going to Talicud, Island.
Talicud Island is indeed a worthy place to travel.
